Microsoft has announced that it’s integrating GeForce NOW into Xbox game pages. This gives users an option to choose the choice of their Cloud gaming platforms on the Xbox Game Store. So far users had no option but to choose the Xbox Cloud Gaming as the default platform. Xbox took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce the incoming change.
As per a blog post, Xbox has officially partnered with NVIDIA GeForce NOW and Boosteriod to bring first-party games to more players. As a part of this collaboration, users can now choose between Xbox Cloud Gaming and GeForce NOW as the choice of their cloud gaming platform on the web. That said, if you are on the Starfield game page, you can choose Nvidia GeForce NOW instead of Xbox Cloud Gaming.
How this works is that you need to own an Xbox game on Steam and must have an account on GeForce Now. This will allow you to play your favourite game from anywhere.
“Xbox has partnered with NVIDIA GeForce NOW and Boosteroid to bring first-party titles to more players. If you own any of the supported Xbox games on Steam and have an account for either streaming service, you can play your game in the cloud from anywhere. Just make sure you link your Steam account to NVIDIA GeForce NOW or Boosteriod,” noted the Xbox blog post.
Further, you can also stream games available on Game Pass via GeForce NOW with your subscription. “If you own any of the supported games on the Microsoft Store or have a valid Game Pass subscription, you can stream those titles on NVIDIA GeForce NOW by signing in with your Microsoft account.”
While the integration was announced earlier today, it’s still not available for many users. However, we expect the GeForce NOW streaming option to reflect on the Xbox Game Store soon. It’s worth noting that you won’t see the option if GeForce NOW is not available in your region.
