Deadpool and Wolverine changed the whole scene of the MCU by being one of the most loved Marvel movies in a long time. Now, the popularity has got Xbox interested in the relicensing of the Deadpool game. For your information, the Deadpool game is in existence but it cannot be purchased digitally or physically. Both the mentioned were released by Activision before the Microsoft Acquisition. As of now, the Marvel franchise holds the rights to the games and the characters as well. Activision lost the rights to sell or create Marvel Games in the past which is why Microsoft is unable to put the Deadpool game on the market. And that’s not it, Xbox wants to bring Deadpool and Marvel Ultimate Alliance back for both PC and consoles. And if things move forward in the right direction, we can also see Microsoft getting the license to sell to other Marvel games – Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and X-Men Origins Wolverine.
However, we cannot sleep on the fact that currently, Insomniac is working on Marvel’s Wolverine game which could again create a problem for Microsoft in getting the license to sell the X-Men Origins Wolverine game. And Xbox, in order to have a successful deal with Marvel, will have a face-off with Sony (the PlayStation mavericks) who already have a deal in place with Marvel and are working on multiple Marvel titles. And we can’t ignore the Insomniac prowess as seen in the Spider-Man game titles.
