The prequel to the original Mafia Game, Mafia: The Old Country, has got a release date now. The franchise took it to Gamescom to unveil the release window of the game. While there is no confirmed date until now, the game will be most probably released in 2025 for all the current generation platforms like Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC as well. Most of the games from the series are based on criminal families from the United States. But the latest addition to the series will explore the birthplace of the Mafia. The game will explore the establishment and rise of the Mafia. As seen in the visuals, the game will pack visually strong early 20th-century Sicily. We can say that the game will also take a deep dive into the social and economic situation of Sicily in the Early 20th century. Mafia: The Old Country, will play a major role in setting up the stage for the events that happen in the gamers after its timeline. Some of the job listings related to the game suggested that there would be something related to stealth mode and multiplayer elements.
A report by Tech4Gamers suggested that the upcoming game is going to work as a reboot for the franchise. Instead, the game will increase more depth for the upcoming Mafia 4 game with a closer look at why things turn out the way they are in the present. Until now, there has been no update regarding the exact release date, gameplay, and characters of the game. However, it is being said that the developers will be sharing information related to the game by December 24 which will give a closer look to the gamers.
