In PUBG, mastering ambushes and surprise attacks can make all the difference between victory and defeat. With proper planning and execution, you can catch enemies off-guard and secure a quick win. Here’s how to pull off the perfect ambush:
It is essential to use sound to your advantage. Follow footsteps, noise made by cars or any gunshot sound to know that the enemies are coming. Do not make any sound likely to alert the target of your presence. Sometimes provoking a fight when the enemies are preoccupied with another fight or are moving clumsily will help your cause.
Make the most use of PUBG’s diverse landscapes. To avoid being easily seen, stand behind rocks, trees, or take cover inside buildings. If you’re going to be deployed in an open region it is advisable to crawl behind grass or small mounds. The correct topography can hide you from the opponent while allowing you a clear line of fire to strike.
Sometimes, when you drop the loot or leave vehicles in the open ground, it gives you the chance to trap inexperienced players. Stand somewhere close and out of sight then look for someone to sink in that sorry trap. This method works well in high-traffic areas near drop zones or supply crates.
To disorient or damage the enemies, special attention should be paid to the fact that the ambush may be commenced with a single grenade. After that, open fire alternatively and complete your objective, to make sure they don’t get up again. Suppressing weapons will make the fight more interesting as you get to stay hidden.
Always have an exit plan in case everything takes a wrong turn. Smoke grenades can be used to confuse enemies, if the ambush plan fails.
