As per a notice released by Krafton, the BGMI 3.1 update will not support Android phones running on Android 4.4 or below versions. “Effective with the 3.1 update, Battlegrounds Mobile India will no longer support Android 4.4/iOS 10 or below versions as we are upgrading Helpshift for better customer support experience,” said the Krafton statement.
Those users on the aforesaid version must update their phones to continue to play the game. However, if you have an older phone, chances are that it may not be eligible for further Android/iOS updates. In this case, you will have to play BGMI on new phones.
Following are some of the iPhones that will become ineligible to run BGMI with the new update. These devices had iOS 10 as their last update.
— iPhone 5
— iPhone 5s
— iPhone 5c
You probably won’t have an old Android phone with Android 4.4 KitKat as it was released 11 years ago. If you do and you were somehow playing BGMI, it’s a dead end.
While the upcoming version will end support for select devices, it will also bring some exciting features. Krafton has confirmed that the update will bring Arabian Nights theme mode. The mode will have two sky castles used for drops in the game. There will be a genie in this game that will reward players with a teleporter.
Apart from this, expect new skins and some other tweaks with this new update.
