Realme revived the GT series in India with the launch of the brand-new Realme GT 6T on Wednesday. The new Realme GT 6T is claimed to be India’s first smartphone with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor, one of the latest in the upper mid-range market. Customers looking for a flagship-level display with features such as durable Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and high brightness of 6,000 nits will like the Realme GT 6T. It appears to be value for money, at least on paper. However, it faces competition from a recent Motorola phone. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro debuted in India a few weeks back, bringing top-notch hardware such as a curved display with a high refresh rate, a fast processor, and a high number of cameras on the back. Customers will like the Edge 50 Pro’s premium design and support for faster battery charging. The Edge 50 Pro costs the same as the Realme GT 6T: Rs 30,999. That brings us to the part where we decide which is a better phone. Here is a quick rundown of the specifications of both phones. Also Read: Don't buy Realme GT 6T before checking these alternatives
Display: Realme claims the GT 6T has a top-notch display that you would usually find on exorbitantly priced smartphones. It has a 6.78-inch Full-HD+ LTPO AMOLED display with a variable refresh rate between 1Hz and 120Hz. It has an extremely high brightness level of 6000 nits, making it one of the brightest smartphone displays. The display also supports HDR and uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. On the other hand, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro has a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ pOLED display with a higher 144Hz refresh rate and support for HDR10+. It has, however, a peak brightness of 2,000 nits.
Processor: Realme’s GT 6T should offer better performance, thanks to the new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor, which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB. Motorola’s Edge 50 Pro uses a slightly toned-down Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Both phones do not support external storage and run Android 14-based software with support for future Android versions and security updates. For graphics, the Realme GT 6T uses a faster Adreno 732 GPU, while the Motorola Edge 50 Pro packs an Adreno 720 GPU.
Cameras: The Realme GT 6T packs two cameras on the back: a 50MP wide sensor featuring optical image stabilisation (OIS) and PDAF and an 8MP ultrawide sensor. It also has a 32MP camera located inside the punch-hole on the display. The cameras support 4K video recording and features such as HDR. On the other hand, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro has three cameras on its back: a 50MP main wide sensor with multi-directional PDAF and optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, OIS, and PDAF, and a 13MP ultrawide camera. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro packs a 50MP front camera with support for 4K and HDR recording.
Battery: Customers will find the Realme GT 6T better if they prioritise longer battery life. The Realme phone has a 5500mAh battery with support for 120W fast wired charging. This is a lot better than Motorola Edge 50 Pro’s 4500mAh battery. However, the Motorola phone has a slightly faster 125W wired fast charging. Both phones offer a fast charger in the retail box.

— Motorola Edge 50 Pro if you want a smoother display, a higher number of cameras on the back, and faster battery charging.
