The payments will be securely processed through WhatsApp-linked bank accounts, making daily purchases quicker and easier, especially for those who prefer UPI for small spends.
Meta has also introduced Deepika Padukone’s voice as part of its AI assistant on Ray-Ban glasses and the Meta AI app. Users can chat, ask questions, or get assistance – all in a familiar Indian voice. This feature adds a personal, cultural flavor to the experience, while also joining Meta’s growing lineup of celebrity voices across markets.
Another big addition is full Hindi support. Users can now talk to Meta AI and get responses in Hindi, making the glasses easier to use for a wider audience. You can enable it from the Meta AI app under Device Settings > Meta AI > Language and Voice.
This update ensures that language won’t be a barrier for those who want to explore smart wearables in their native tongue.
Together, these updates show Meta’s intent to go beyond just global features and truly localize its tech for India. From Hindi commands to UPI Lite payments and even a celebrity voice, the Ray-Ban Meta glasses are becoming more tuned to Indian lifestyles.
While Meta hasn’t shared details about the next India launch phase, these features make it clear that the brand is serious about making AI wearables fit seamlessly into everyday life.
