OpenAI has introduced the advanced voice feature for ChatGPT under the premium tier. The tool allows the users to have seamless conversations with the GPT model. The release will go on for the whole week. The feature was first announced by OpenAI in May 2024. The feature is really popular because of the resemblance of that voice with Scarlett Johannson. For this, OpenAI even got a lawsuit for the same from the lawyers of Johannson.

That being said, people have been able to let ChatGPT talk to them in different voices in the free model. The advanced version of the model works quickly as compared to the free version. As of now, ChatGPT offers nine different voices and you can even add customized instructions for voice chats in the settings of the application.

How to use Advanced Voice mode for ChatGPT?

• First things first, you need to have a premium subscription to the application. Now, download the latest version of the application on your smartphone.
• Open the app now and then you’ll receive a notification in the app once the access to advanced voice feature is granted. After that, tap the continue button to get started.
• Tap on the two-line icon or swipe right to create a new chat and then select the ChatGPT option available at the top. You will see a soundwave icon, you need to tap on it.
• After a while, you will hear a bump sound in the application and a circle in the screen center. You can now start speaking to receive the responses quickly.

OpenAI has claimed that the accents in the application have been improved along with an increased pace. You can also ask ChatGPT to speak differently if you do not like the accent it is talking in. Whether you want to listen to bedtime stories or you want to get ready for a meeting with the higher up, the ChatGPT advanced voice mode comes ready for all things. As of now, the feature is not limited to unlimited duration even for the premium users.
