Google has taken another step toward making its artificial intelligence services more accessible with the launch of a new subscription tier called Google AI Plus. Unlike its premium plans, this new offering comes at a more pocket-friendly price and is currently being rolled out in Indonesia.
The plan is designed to bridge the gap between the free tier and the more advanced Pro plan, giving users a cost-effective way to explore Google’s growing suite of AI tools.
The new subscription is priced at IDR 75,000 per month (roughly Rs. 400). To make it even more attractive, Google is offering a 50% discount for the first six months, allowing users to test the platform without spending too much. This is significantly cheaper than the AI Pro plan in India, which costs Rs. 1,950, and far more affordable than the AI Ultra plan at Rs. 24,500 per month.
Subscribers to the AI Plus plan will enjoy extended access to the Gemini 2.5 Pro model, offering better performance compared to the free version. While it doesn’t match the Pro or Ultra levels, it still unlocks more features, including a 128K token context window, a major upgrade from the 32K tokens available in the free tier.
Perhaps the most notable highlight is that AI Plus is now the cheapest way to access Google’s Veo 3 Fast video generation model, a feature unavailable to free users. Alongside this, subscribers can also use tools like the Flow video creation app and the Whisk image-to-video tool, making it a versatile option for content creators.
Beyond AI generation, the plan also offers added productivity benefits. Users gain access to the Gemini side panel across Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive, allowing seamless AI integration into everyday workflows. Additionally, the subscription includes 200GB of cloud storage shared across Google Drive, Gmail, and Photos.
