Google AI Features: Everything announced at the Made by Google Event

The Made by Google event is over and Google has announced a plethora of AI features that will be joining the party with the Google Pixel 9 series. The Google Pixel 9 series offers four devices – Google Pixel 9, Google Pixel 9 Pro, Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold. All the smartphones will be blessed with the AI features that we are going to discuss below. Most of the AI features are Pixel-exclusive and the Pro phones from the series will also get a One-year subscription for Google One AI Premium providing users access to Gemini Advanced.

Google AI features announced in the Made by Google event

Gemini Assistant: The Gemini Assistant offered by Google will be lightning fast with the Gemini 1.5 Flash working in the background. As claimed by Google, the latest Gemini Assistant model delivers accurate responses without missing out on things as the previous versions did. Moreover, the assistant will also be able to gather information from other applications like Utilities, Google Calendar, Keep, Tasks, etc.

Magic Editor: The Magic Editor is going to take your photo quality to the next level. It will allow the user to type in what they want to see in an image and then add the elements to the same. You can do the same by just typing prompts or selecting a particular part of an image.

Pixel Studio: With the Pixel Studio application, you will be able to create illustrations with the help of prompts. The studio is backed by Google’s Imagen 2 cloud-based model and an on-device diffusion model.

AI weather summary: The Pixel Weather application will use Gemini Nanotech to deliver AI-based weather reports. And you will also have the liberty to arrange the sections in the app like putting the weather forecast above other information.

Add Me: The Add Me option in the Pixel 9 series will let you easily take group photos minus the embarrassment of asking a stranger to do so. You need to take a picture of your friends and then step into the same spot and ask your friend to click a shot of you. Now, the Add Me feature will combine the two photos using AR overlay.

Share picture with Circle to Google Search: Now you can also share a part of your image or screen when you draw a circle around it to launch Google Search for the same.

Have a conversation with Gemini Live: Gemini Live will allow the users to have natural conversations about anything. And the best part is that you can also halt Gemini Live mid-conversation and pick it up later from the same point. The feature will work with the lock screen as well. The catch here is that Gemini Live will only be available for the Gemini Advanced Subscribers.

Pixel Screenshots: The Pixel Screenshots feature of Google will let you use AI to track down the information shared in a screenshot and then answer you on a conversation basis as per your requirements. As mentioned by Google, this feature will only be available for Pixel devices.

Call Notes: Google, with the help of AI, will summarize your calls once you hang up. As Google said, this feature will help the user in extracting details discussed in a call. Furthermore, Google has declared that the call summaries are never shared or stored in the cloud and it also notifies everybody on a call before starting the summarization.
