As per a video shared by a user (@jhalakbhawnani) on Instagram, she also tried the viral Instagram AI saree trend with Nano Banana, which unfortunately turned out to be creepy for her. And the scary part is that she is not alone in witnessing the creepy behaviour of AI. Gemini Nano Banana Turns Creepy?

As per the video shared by the woman, the photo that has been generated by Google Gemini Nano Banana shows a mole on her hand. So, what’s the creepy part here? The photo that the woman has shared with Gemini Nano Banana is having a full-sleeved dress. So, how would the AI know about the mole? “How Gemini knows I have mole in this part of my body… this is very scary, very creepy.” However, the fact is that she is not alone. 

Several users commented on the post, and some have even shared their similar experiences. One of the users said, “Gemini belongs to Google, and they go through your photos and videos to develop the AI pic.” While another mentioned how AI has generated an image of him with tattoos, which weren’t even visible anywhere in the shared images. 

Does AI Take Reference From Your Other Photos Too?

To answer that, a Google spokesperson said, “The Nano Banana image model that was recently launched was not trained with user data from Google Photos, Google Workspace, or Google Cloud services. Any non-visible attribute that shows up in a generated image that wasn’t visible in an input image in the same Gemini conversation is a coincidence.
