ChatGPT is always in popularity mode with its now-and-then new updates. Recently, the company made waves for its Ghibli, image generation feature. The new feature added to the app is not just capable of creating visually stunning images, but it has garnered 1 million users for ChatGPT. OpenAI officially extended the Ghibli image generation feature to free ChatGPT users worldwide and the internet has gone gaga over it.

The rollout was started on April 29 and completed on April 1 and since then ChatGPT garnered millions of active users worldwide. Altman in its post on X mentioned the active users. He said, “The ChatGPT launch 26 months ago was one of the craziest viral moments i’d ever seen, and we added one million users in five days. We added one million users in the last hour.”

The ChatGPT Ghibli feature was earlier only available for the paid users including those on ChatGPT Plus, Pro, and Team plans, but now it is available for all the users worldwide. The feature is powered by the OpenAI’s GPT-4o model that allows users to create images that are visually strong and impressive.

The Ghibli image generator is a feature that allows users to create stunning and visually powerful images. These images are inspired by the Studio Ghibli animation style. However, the inventor of Ghibli style image, Hayao Miyazaki is not happy with the ChatGPT creating the masterpiece art. He says in the video that he is disgusted with what ChatGPT Ghibli is creating. He says, “Whoever creates this stuff has no idea what pain is. I am utterly disgusted. If you really want to make creepy stuff, you can go ahead and do it. I would never wish to incorporate this technology into my work at all. I strongly feel that this is an insult to life itself.”
