ChatGPT
OpenAI always comes up with new updates and features for its AI platform ChatGPT. This time, the tech giant is working on a new group feature within the app that will allow multiple users to interact simultaneously. This will enhance the app’s usefulness in team projects or in shared tasks.
As per Tibor Blaho, the company is working on a new group chat feature, making the chatbot even more useful than before. This will increase the app’s productivity and increase the enhancement on the platform.
STEP 1: The first step is to open the ChatGPT Web App and then log in via your official account.
STEP 2: Now, you have to locate an option named ‘Start a Group Chat’ in the top navigation bar of the web app
STEP 3: The next step is to click the Start a Group Chat button, and it will immediately create a group chat
STEP 4: As soon as you click on the option, you will get a unique and shareable link for your group chat
Step 5: Now, copy the link and then send it to anyone you want to join the group chat
STEP 6: You can invite multiple participants, and they can join via the link
STEP 7: Participants who click the link will enter the group chat.
STEP 8: Even if any member has joined late, they can still read and see the previous messages and can catch up with the ongoing discussions.
One of the striking features of group chat is that it will have custom settings, making it easy for users to control how ChatGPT participates in the conversation. The personal data and memory will remain private, still allowing AI to contribute meaningfully.
This means users will have the flexibility to summon ChatGPT only when needed rather than having the AI respond to every single message automatically.
The leaked details reveal several interactive tools within the group chat, including reactions to specific messages, message replies, file uploads, and image creation.
The group chat feature is still in development, and OpenAI has not shared an official release timeline. However, the leak suggests that the feature will eventually be available across the ChatGPT web and potentially other platforms.
