
Job scams are on the rise in India, with fake offers, impersonators, and misleading recruiters adding to the anxiety of job seekers. In response, LinkedIn has started rolling out new verification tools to help professionals connect with confidence. This step comes at a time when online job markets are booming-and so are scams.
First off, if you’re updating your profile to a recruiter-related title-like “Recruiter” or “Talent Acquisition Specialist”-LinkedIn will now ask you to verify your workplace. And it’s the same for executive roles such as Vice President or Managing Director. You’ll need an official company email address to complete this verification. If you already have those titles, you’re not affected for now, but any new additions will have to go through it.
They’ve also opened up company page verification to more firms. Previously limited to a select few, now any business with a Premium Company Page can apply for a badge. That means even small enterprises can now signal authenticity
