WhatsApp New Feature Alert: The Update You've Been Waiting For

WhatsApp is known for bringing new features and updates for its users. Now, the company has released its new updates for Android with version 2.24.17.79, which brings host of new features and improvements. The latest update is focused mainly on enhancing the user experience.

GIPHY Stickers:

WhatsApp rolled out one of the most notable features, the introduction of the GIPHY sticker search feature, to everyone earlier in  WhatsApp for iOS 24.17.78 update. This feature was previously rolled out for the Android beta app. Now, the company has rolled out WhatsApp for Android 24.17.79 update, under which the new GIPHY sticker search feature is introduced. This latest feature allows users to search and send stickers directly from the GIPHY library. The GIPHY library has a vast collection of stickers that you can send to your loved ones. The feature is available for everyone on WhatsApp.

The GIPHY feature will be useful for users in terms of expressing emotions that might not be available in their personal sticker collection. Additionally, WhatsApp is also rolling out the ability to move stickers to move to the top of the personal collection. It will make sure that users can now prioritize their most-used stickers for quicker use.

New Media Viewer:

Another feature that WhatsApp introduced alongside GIPHY stickers is the introduction of new media viewer. It allows users to view photos and videos in a full-screen format. The new media viewer also include host of other features, including zoom and swipe gestures, allowing users to easily navigate and interact with media. Initially the feature was tested by beta testers for Android 2.24.11.16 update.

Users can quickly type a reply or select an emoji reaction by simply tapping on the new shortcuts located at the bottom of the screen, making it easier to respond in real-time.
