WhatsApp New Feature: Now You Can Allow Guests in Chat Events

WhatsApp is known for adding new features on its platform every now and then making platform more user friendly. The meta-owned platform comes with several enhancements that can make things easier for user. From Meta AI integration, Private Mentions to Screen Sharing and WhatsApp document scanner, the tech giant keeps on bringing features that elevate the experience for users on the platform.

We notified you about the Events feature in WhatsApp few days back. Now the company has added new feature where users will be able to add Guests in the Chat Events. The feature was spotted bu a popular website named WABetainfo, who is responsible for identifying upcoming WhatsApp features. Now WhatsApp users will be able to add an additional guest to the chat event along with creating events in chats.

WhatsApp Chat Event Guest:

As per latest report by WABetainfo, the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.3.17 update has revealed that the company can add guests to events in chats. According to the screenshot given in the report, a new option Allow Guests is available while creating an event. The feature can be enabled by clicking on it. After the feature is enabled, anyone can be added as a guest to the event. As far as current feature, users only have the option to either accept or decline the event. Now they can also add guests to it.

Nevertheless, WhatsApp has given free hands to the user if they want to disable the feature if the event creator does not want any guests to join it. Once the feature is diabled it will only be between the creator and the people he or she is allowing. The feature is only available to some beta testers and we can expect it to be rolled out in full swing in coming months. The chat event feature will allow users to create birthday, events, or any occasion on the platform. Additionally, now they will also be able to add guests who are attending the event.
