Microsoft is working on a lot of things to make and this time, the tech giant is all set to make file sharing with iPhones less complex. Microsoft is working on a Phone Link app that will make file transfer from iPhones to Windows PC simple. In an official blog post, Microsoft said that the feature is currently available in the Windows Insiders Program. As for a brief on the app, the Phone Link application is specially designed for Windows PCs that allows users to share files with iPhones as well. The feature is in the testing stage as of now. However, there are a few things that have been revealed in order to make the feature work smoothly on your device. All the users also need to have the Link to Windows application installed on their iPhones. The Windows PC that is supposed to be connected should also have the Phone Link app. After all the initial steps, the Link to Windows app will start appearing as a sharing option on iPhone. Nonetheless, one thing to note here is that the feature is only available for the users enrolled in the Windows Insider Program as of now. Microsoft has mentioned that they will drop the feature for Windows 10 and Windows 11 in a few months from now. Expectations are that we will get to see more enhancements in the phone link app for iPhone compatibility in the future to make the sharing of files between the two easier.
