JioTV+ launches in India with more than 800 channels; Check eligibility, features, and more

Reliance Jio has recently introduced the JioTV+ app compatible with most of the smart TVs which was previously only available via the Jio Set-top box. The application offers 800+ digital channels in more than 10 languages. In addition to that, users can also access 13+ applications in a single login.

Android TV users can install the JioTV+ application from Google Play Store. Apart from that, the application is also available on Amazon’s Fire OS TVs and Apple TVs. You can get to app from the dedicated app stores for the mentioned Smart TVs. However, the JioTV+ is not up for Samsung TV. Speculations are that the application will be soon launched for the LG smart TVs as well. And that’s not it, users will have the liberty to connect two smart TVs from a single JioFiber connection without any extra compensation.

JioTV+ App installation and features

Making the app run on your Smart TV is no rocket science. You just need to install the JioTV+ app on a supported smart TV. Once the application is installed, sign in using a valid phone number. Now, the users will get an OTP to authenticate and then enter the app. After that, enjoy the channels of your choice and let JioTV+ give you personal recommendations based on your choice.

As for the feature offered in the JioTV+ app, it includes a single sign-on. Moreover, it also has a smart filter feature that lets users modify their search based on channel number, category, and language. The app also provides adjustable playback speeds to watch previous episodes of a show. Moreover, it also provides customized recommendations on the basis of user preference. And like any other streaming service, JioTV+ also offers a kid-safe section with content specially created for children.

The JioAirFiber users can enjoy the application on all plans. Nonetheless, the JioFiber Postpaid users can get access to the app only on Rs 599, Rs 899, and above plans. And the JioFiber Prepaid users can access the app only if they are using the Rs 999 plan or above.
