Instagram Launches Exclusive ‘Rings’ Awards to Celebrate Top Creators: Fashion Designer Collaboration, Exclusive Features, and Spotlight Access

Instagram has launched the Ring awards program designed to honor content creators and the most creative users on its platform. The meta-owned app has taken the creator recognition to a whole new level with its new Rings awards, aiming to spotlight those who push boundaries in creating content.

What Are Instagram Rings?

The newly launched Instagram Rings awards will be awarded to exceptional creators. It will be given to 25 content creators who are taking their content creation to the next level. Winners will receive a physical ring designed by English fashion designer Grace Wales Bonner. Under this award, a digital ring will appear around their Instagram stories.

Those who will win the Instagram Rings award will have the ability to customize their profile background color. In addition, there will be special features added to their content, including a dedicated spotlight and feed within the app, taking their content apart from other creators.

How Winners Are Selected in the Instagram Rings Award

Instagram is keeping the selection process thorough and highly curated. It will be judged by Instagram’s leader, Aam Mosseri, Eva Chen, and designer Grace Wales Bonner. Other than these, cultural icons like director Spike Lee, makeup artist Pat McGrath, designer Marc Jacobs, and actress Yara Shahidi will also be part of the selection process.

Under the selection process, creators will be narrowed down from the billions of users to a final 25 winners. The winners will belong to the diverse categories such as fashion, sports, entertainment, and makeup.

Other than the physical ring, there will be a golden ring for the stories of the winners. These winners will have the ability to customize their profile colors with visual distinction.
