
Samsung has been in the news for its highly anticipated extended reality XR project codenamed Project Moohan. The project is sparking quite a curiosity across the tech world and hence positioning it as a bold step into the future of immersive technology. The upcoming device is expected to showcase the company’s vision for blending augmented and virtual reality into a single powerful experience. In a recent report, there have been several leaks and rumors coming to the forefront regarding Project Mohan’s specifications and features.
To recall, Project Moohan was recently spotted on the Geekbench a popular benchmarking website with a model number SM-1610. The Geekbench listing revealed its processor, CPU,GPU, and more. The headset made its recent display at the Google I/O 2025 in mid may. As per leaked reports, the headset is reported to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Plus Gen 2 processor. This chipset is built for the XR specifically.
It is reported to be equipped with the 6 chip cores, two running on 2.36GHz and other four running on a 2.05GHz clock speed.
The device is reported to be running on the Android 14 and 16GB of RAM. With Android integrity at its core, the upcoming Samsung Project Moohan headset could mark a major and significant milestone in company’s XR journey.
The Snapdragon XR+ Gen 2 is expected to support the dual display at up to 3K resolution. Additionally, it is also reported to offer 8 times higher performance as compared to its predecessor. It can support Wi-Fi 7.
Samsung has not yet officially revealed the launch date for the Project Moohan, but it did give the hint of bringing it toward the end of the 2025.
