Lava has come up with its first smartwatch, Prowatch, claiming features such as Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, a corrosion-free body, and a 7-day battery life will make it stand out. Prowatch has two variants that share most features but differ based on their display protection level. The Prowatch ZN uses the Gorilla Glass 3 for protection, but the Prowatch VN has a regular screen. Both smartwatch models use zinc alloy for durability and anti-corrosion use throughout their life. The new Prowatch come with all standard health and fitness measurement features, as well.
The Prowatch ZN has a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a 466×466 resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is a round dial with a rotatable crown on the side. It offers 150 watch faces, which customers can choose and customise using a dedicated ProSpot app. Customers get two options for how they can style their Prowatch ZN. There is a silicone strap and a metal strap. However, customers buying the metal strap also get the silicone one in the box. A Realtek chipset (unspecified) powers the Prowatch, which comes in two colour options: Valyrian Grey and Dragonglass Black.
Lava claims the Prowatch ZN has over 110 sports modes and can last up to seven days on a single charge with all-day-long measurement of health vitals. There is an all-in-one high-accuracy PPG sensor that works as a heart rate sensor, a blood oxygen monitor, and an activity tracker. Lava has equipped the Prowatch with a built-in voice assistant to let you control certain functions with voice. In-built games add to the watch experience, but I am not sure how comfortable it will be to play games on a screen this small. The Prowatch also supports Bluetooth calling and is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance.
The Lava Prowatch ZN costs Rs 4,999 if customers go for just the silicone strap while choosing the metal strap will cost Rs 5,999. However, customers in the first sale, which begins April 26, can get these models at Rs 2,599 and Rs 2,999, respectively. The Prowatch will be available from Amazon, Lava’s online store, and partner stores across the country.
The Prowatch VN is a trimmed-down version, featuring a 1.96-inch 2.5D curved display with a resolution of 320×386 pixels and 500 nits of brightness. It offers more than 150 watch faces, which customers can choose from the ProSpot app. It also uses a Realtek chipset to offer features such as real-time heart rate, blood oxygen, and stress monitoring, as well as sleep tracking. There are over 115 sports modes and an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. It has a 230mAh battery and Bluetooth calling, as well. The Lava Prowatch VN costs Rs 1,999 as part of the special launch offer but will cost customers Rs 3,999 otherwise. This model will also go on sale on April 26 from Amazon, Lava’s online store, and offline stores.
