With growing advancements in technology, one innovation that changed how we perceive visual intelligence is the invention of AR glasses. Augmented Reality (AR) glasses have come a long way, evolving from clunky prototypes to intelligent wearables, thanks to Meta’s Ray-Ban. Now a new report emerging revealing that Apple is also working towards its own smart glasses to compete with Meta’s Ray-Ban models.
Apple is reportedly working on a new AR glasses that is expected to compete with already available Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses. Apple’s AR glasses are reported to features some of the best AI features including SIRI and Visual Intelligence. Nevertheless, there’s no official information from company’s side, but the tech giant could soon unveil its own AR glasses.
As per report, Apple’s AR glasses are said to feature functionalities like real-time information and voice interaction. While they might not work as a full-fledged A devices like Vision Pro, but they are expected to provide a user-friendly experience. Additionally, these upcoming Apple AR glasses could bring built-in cameras and microphones. The tech giant is also planning to consider privacy concerns in their glasses. This will indeed make them different from what Meta is offering right now. The development of these smart glasses aligns with Apple’s broader strategy to expand its wearable technology portfolio.

Bloomberg Mark Gurman recently mentioned about these Apple AR Glasses, he said, “all of this is a stepping stone toward Cook’s grand vision, which hasn’t changed in a decade. He wants true augmented reality glasses — lightweight spectacles that a customer could wear all day. The AR element will overlay data and images onto real-world views.”
There’s no surprise that Meta’s Ray-Ban are currently the standalone AR eyewear standing out as a leading example of what AR glasses could offer in terms of technological advancement. Meta’s Ray-Ban offers AI-powered voice assistance, high quality audio, and some of the best camera functionalities directly into a stylish frame. That’s why it’s just a matter of time when Apple will enter into the AR glasses market with a bang on.
