
No, it’s not just you. Reliance Jio services have been inoperative for hours for some. Several users aren’t able to access their WhatsApp messages among other things due to the global outage. The outage isn’t just limited to mobile data, but also to JioFiber service, the firm’s broadband service. Downdetector, a popular website that tracks online outages, has affirmed the services to be down for hours.
Reliance Jio SIM services, which include mobile data, mainly, and JioFiber, which is its broadband service, have been down for hours. Although not everyone is facing the issue, many have been hit with the outage.
As per Downdector, the queries related to the Reliance Jio outage began earlier in the afternoon. From 1 PM, users have been noticing inconsistency in the internet connectivity on their mobile devices. As a consequence, users are unable to use instant messaging and social media apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, X, and others.
JioFiber users, on the other hand, aren’t able to access specific apps like X, whereas, simple browsing on Google is possible. More than 50 percent of the users on JioFiber are facing connectivity issues, which is affecting their work among other things.
Reliance hasn’t acknowledged the issue yet, however, we should expect a response soon. While writing this story, some users’ internet connectivity on Jio is back, while others are still struggling to connect.
