Airtel hikes prepaid and postpaid tariffs a day after Jio: Check new prices here
Airtel has hiked the prices of its prepaid and postpaid recharge plans in India. The popular Rs 719 (84 days) plan costs Rs 859 after the price hike.

The price hike season has officially begun. After Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel has hiked prepaid tariffs by 11-21 percent. The price hike affects monthly as well as annual plans, alongside 2 and 3-monthly plans. Add-on plan prices have also surged, with 1GB of daily add-on costing Rs 22, instead of 19. The price hike comes a day after the spectrum auction held on Wednesday. Let’s see the new prepaid tariffs and their benefits.

Airtel’s new tariffs effective July 3, 2024

The total price hike ranges from 11-21 percent depending on the plans. Reliance Jio hiked its prepaid tariffs by around 20 percent. We expect Vodafone Idea (VI) to follow suit.

The increased prices come a day after the spectrum auction held on Wednesday, where Airtel as well as Jio participated in acquiring different spectrums for their services. Airtel acquired 97 MHz spectrum for Rs 6,857 crore. That spectrum is used for 5G services.
