The PS5 Pro comes with a improved GPU performance and memory access. As claimed by Sony, the latest console offers 67% higher Compute Units along with 28% faster memory as compared to its predecessor. Both things combined, the PS5 Pro delivers 45% faster gameplay rendering than the previous one in line.
The latest AI-powered upscaling tech introduced in the PS5 Pro uses machine learning to make the game elements more detailed. PS5 Pro will also get the support for WiFi 7 which was limited to WiFi 6 in its predecessor.
The PS5 Pro comes with lightning fast ray tracing performance which is somewhere around 2X to 3X of the speed offered on the current console. The performance was also teased with a Demo of Last of US 2 game in the presentation of PS5 Pro.
PS5 Pro, similar to other Sony consoles, also comes with backward compatibility for PS4 games. In addition, Sony is also rolling out PS5 Pro Game Boost for the console which support more than 8,500 PS4 titles. For a few PS4 games, PS5 Pro will also offer Enhanced Image Quality.
Unlike PS5, the PS5 Pro will support resolutions up to 8K along with frame rates up to 120Hz. The console will also support variable refresh rate on compatible screens.
The PS5 Pro will have only one version - Digital Edition. All the players who collect physical game edition can purchase and connect the Ultra HD Blue-ray drive for the same.
The PS5 Pro will be launched at a price of $699.99 and the price will go a higher in other regions. On the other hand, the PS5 Slim Digital Edition with 1TB storage is available in the market only for $499.
