Vivo Xfold5

Vivo is gearing up to launch its next flagship foldable. The Vivo X Fold 5 could land in India sooner than expected. According to industry sources, the phone will make its China debut on June 25, followed by an India launch between July 10th and 15th.

This marks a major shift in Vivo’s foldable strategy for India. Last year, only the Pro variant was launched in India. With no Pro variant mentioned by Vivo till now, the company might just launch a standard variant of the X Fold 5 across the globe.

Vivo X Fold 5 Rumored Specifications

The X Fold 5 is shaping up to be a performance powerhouse with a sharp focus on innovation and durability. The phone is rumoured to sport dual 8T LTPO screens with 4,500 nits peak brightness and high-frequency PWM dimming for eye comfort. It is said to have a 6.3″ cover display and an 8.3″ main display.

In the battery department, this foldable is getting a major upgrade with a massive 6,000mAh battery supported by 80W wired and 40W wireless fast charging. This is possible as the phone might use a fourth-gen silicon-carbon anode design.

The phone might also be around 2mm thinner and 20g lighter than last year’s X Fold 3 Pro. It might also get IPX8, IPX9+ , and IP5X. This makes the phone more durable against water and dust. The foldable will reportedly launch in three colour options: Titanium, Green and White.

Its slim form factor and polished build are likely to make it one of the slimmest foldables available in India. This could be perfect for users looking for flagship power without the bulk.

India Launch Timeline

The India release is expected between July 10–15, just a few weeks after the China reveal. These leaks and rumours suggest Vivo is increasingly viewing India as a key market for premium foldables. This could give some good competition to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold lineup.
