Samsung Unpacked Expectations

Mostly, Samsung will be revealing their foldable lineup at this Unpacked event. This includes the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, a more affordable Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, and the Galaxy Watch 8 series. But that’s not all, Samsung may also have a hidden surprise. A new teaser by the brand suggests that they might be hiding a secret foldable phone. news Also Read: Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 Review: Fashion Statement or a Practical FLIP?

According to reliable tipster Setsuna Digital, Samsung may offer the first official preview of its tri-fold smartphone at the event. This will likely be a showcase, not the proper launch of the first-ever tri-fold from Samsung. The full launch is expected in October, but the company may use the Unpacked stage to tease what’s next. news Also Read: Samsung's First Tri-Fold Phone, Galaxy S25 FE, XR Headset Confirmed For Launch Later This Year: All Details

According to rumors, this device could be called the Galaxy G Fold and might feature a tri-folding display with an enhanced titanium chassis for extra durability. It’s also expected to use silicon-carbon battery tech for more efficient power usage. The phone might even pack a 200MP camera sensor and come with a premium price tag. Samsung has previously showcased tri-fold concepts at events like CES, but this would mark the first time the tech giant hints at a consumer-ready product.

Samsung is also rumoured to expand its Galaxy AI suite, possibly debuting One UI 8.0 features like Selfie Studio for AI-powered front-facing photos, smarter text generation and summarization, and more on-device AI editing tools for photos and videos.

Samsung Tri-Fold Design Leak

Samsung might have actually secretly dropped some subtle hints about the design of the tri-fold phone in their UI. This leak was spotted by Android Authority, and according to their report, new animation files embedded in the One UI 8.0 software show a multi-panel foldable device. The animation suggests a three-part design.

This is completely different from Huawei’s tri-fold, as the screens on Samsung’s display appear to fold inwards.
