Reliance Jio has officially launched its new AX6000 Universal Wi-Fi 6 Router. This new router is designed for users who want fast, stable, and future-ready internet at home. It supports speeds of up to 6,000 Mbps and offers coverage of up to 2,000 square feet. The new router is powered by a quad-core chipset, the AX6000 is built to handle more than 100 connected devices at once. Here is everything you need to know about this new AX6000 router. The AX6000 operates on both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz frequency bands, offering maximum speeds of up to 4,800 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 1,200 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. It uses eight internal antennas to maintain strong and consistent connectivity across. It also has support for technologies like OFDMA and MU-MIMO which ensures better data management even when multiple devices are online at the same time. For those looking to expand their network coverage, the AX6000 is AI Mesh-ready and works seamlessly with Jio’s True AI Mesh extenders. The router setting and connected devices can be managed via the JioHome app, which also offers parental controls. The router includes five Gigabit Ethernet ports for wired connections and supports guest networks for added convenience.
The only limitation of this router is that it only supports ISPs that use DHCP. Basically, this means it won’t be compatible with providers like BSNL or others that use PPPoE or IPoE. This isn’t a deal breaker, as most people who might purchase this router will likely be using a Jio connection anyway. Talking more about the router, it is a little larger and weighs 1.8 kilograms. Jio is also offering a one-year warranty on the router and a six-month warranty on the power adapter.
The AX6000 Wi-Fi 6 Router is priced at Rs 5,999 and will be available via Amazon, JioMart, Reliance Digital, and other major retail outlets.
