
OnePlus has recently announced its Project Starlight with which the company will invest around Rs 6,000 crore in India for the next three years. As claimed by the company, the investment will be used to enhance customer service in the country along with working on the durability of its devices. In addition, OnePlus will also focus on launching India-specific features for the users.
As claimed by the company in a press release, OnePlus will be working on increasing the number of service centers in India by up to 50%. And they want to achieve this goal before the first half of 2026. Until now, OnePlus has not announced any specific numbers related to the stores that are being opened in the country.
Apart from that, the company will also allow customers to get support via live chat, hotline, and WhatsApp. And the users will also be able to track the progress of their service requests. Currently, OnePlus website shows around 40 exclusive stores and 33 authorized retail stores in India. OnePlus has also stated that third-party retail stores will also be able to offer ‘enhanced service capabilities’ under the latest initiative.
OnePlus also said that they are bringing a ‘Green Line Worry-Free Solution’ that will expand the lifetime screen warranty program to any product that is affected by a green line on the display. The company will also add a new protective layer to the AMOLED display. To support all this, the company is bringing OnePlus 13 which will be the first device in India with a DisplayMate A++ panel.
Furthermore, to take customer service to the next level in India, OnePlus says it brings features that are specifically designed for Indian users. The brand will introduce a feature in OnePlus 13 called Steady Connect that will allow the device to have strong Bluetooth connections in up to 360m range.
