An ETNews report claims that Apple will not launch the standard iPhone 18 next year and will shift its focus to the foldable iPhone. The report further suggests that Apple might bring five new models under the iPhone 18 lineup, with some models seeing a delayed launch. According to ETNews, the brand will unveil the iPhone 18 Air, the iPhone 18 Pro, and iPhone 18 Pro Max alongside the foldable iPhone in September 2026. The lineup will be expanded with the launch of the standard iPhone 18 and the affordable iPhone 18e in early 2027. Currently, Apple is busy with the expected launch of the iPhone 17 series next month. The company is rumoured to be axing the Plus model from the lineup. A new model, iPhone 17 Air, will join the series. It will be Apple’s slimmest iPhone ever, measuring just 5.5mm thick and weighing at around 149 grams.
Meanwhile, leaks have started emerging about the affordable iPhone 17e. The device is said to make its debut next year in May. It will succeed the iPhone 16e from February this year. According to leaks, the iPhone 17e will borrow the iPhone 16e’s 6.1-inch OLED display with 60Hz refresh rate. However, the new model will get a Dynamic Island design, with support for 3D face recognition.
