In a new enhancement towards technology, the Modi Government has launched a new Aadhar Card app. The new app will revolutionize and bring a major shift in how Indian citizen access and verify their identity. It has several enhanced features including Face ID authentication, QR Code, and more. To understand, Aadhar Card is an essential document in India that is issued by the Government of India. It contains a 12-digit unique identification number called the Aadhar number that is linked to your biometric including your fingerprint and iris scan.
IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw launched and showcased the new Aadhar app that comes with Face ID and QR Code. These features in New Aadhar App eliminate the need of carrying physical document. The new Aadhar App announced by the IT Minister via its X account. The app is built in collaboration with the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
The app is right now in Beta testing phase and is not available on Google Play Store. But it’s just a matter of time when the app will be available in its full mode and citizens of India from now onwards will not have to carry physical copy of the document.

Ashwini Vaishnaw says, “No need to hand over Aadhaar photocopy at hotel receptions, shops or during travel. The Aadhaar App is secure and shareable only with the user’s consent. 100 per cent digital and secure.”
Users can now digitally verify and share their Aadhaar details while ensuring their privacy. Simply scan a QR code or use a requesting application,” he added.
The new Aadhar app will be useful in a way that now people don’t have to carry a physical copy of the document and hence it can be used easily while shopping, hotel check-ins, or any other important time.
