iQOO is ready to shake up the wearable scene with its upcoming iQOO Watch 5, officially launching in China on May 20. The brand has teased about this watch on their social media handles and it could pack some exciting AI-powered features and esports functionality.
The biggest highlight of this upcoming iQOO Watch 5 is its software. It is teared to run BlueOS 2.5, which is Vivo’s in-house operating system. A key feature of this OS is the new AI assistant called Blue Heart Xiao V x DeepSeek. The assistant activates via raise to wake and has a wide range of voice commands. It can manage phone-related tasks like recording and summarising calls. Along with this, it can also help in providing reminders for medication, travel plans, and daily work schedules.
The iQOO Watch 5 features a classic round dial, along with a rotating crown and a side-mounted button. It will be available in multiple strap options and could appeal to both sporty and casual users. The device was previously showcased at the King Pro League 2025 Spring Finals, an esports tournament for Honor of Kings.
At the event, the company demonstrated the watch’s special esports mode, which could be an exciting touch. This mode can monitor heart rate, calorie burn, and other biometric data in real time during gameplay. It even supports game countdowns and data sharing, effectively blending health tracking with a gamified experience.
Coming to battery life, the iQOO Watch 5 is said to last up to 22 days in standard Bluetooth mode, and around 14 days when operating with an eSIM. These numbers are impressive as we haven’t seen many smartwatches with this level of functionality last this long.
iQOO will be launching this watch alongside the new iQOO 10 Pro+ in China on May 20. There are no details yet about its global or Indian release. But with its combination of cutting-edge AI features and a focus on esports, it could be an attractive option in international markets as well.
