Microsoft has officially announced the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X for the Indian market. The handheld gaming PCs, developed in collaboration with Asus, are the first Xbox branded portable consoles by the company. ROG Xbox Ally, ROG Xbox Ally X price in India

The ROG Xbox Ally has been launched at Rs 69,990 in India, while the high-end ROG Xbox Ally X price is set at Rs 1,14,990. The portable gaming consoles goes on pre-orders starting today. Pre-booking the devices will make buyers eligible to receive an ROG Slash Sling Bag and a one-year complimentary subscription to GamePass Ultimate. The devices will be available for purchase from October 16. ROG Xbox Ally, ROG Xbox Ally X Specs, Features

Both the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X feature a 7-inch full-HD LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 500 nits brightness. The screen supports AMD FreeSync Premium to prevent tearing and stuttering, and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with an anti-reflective coating for better outdoor visibility.

Design-wise, the new ROG Xbox Ally lineup looks and feels familiar, thanks to its Xbox-style layout. The button placement, triggers, and analog sticks are inspired by the Xbox Wireless Controller, with an added Xbox button for quick access to the Game Bar overlay.

Under the hood, the ROG Xbox Ally runs on the AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor, paired with 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB of storage. The higher-end ROG Xbox Ally X uses the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme chip, featuring 24GB of RAM and 1TB storage.

Both handhelds run Windows 11, but Microsoft has made specific adjustments to optimise performance by cutting down background processes and prioritising gameplay. The Ally X also comes with a bigger 80Wh battery, compared to the 60Wh battery on the standard model. Both support 67W fast charging and ship with a charging stand. Users of the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X will be able to access a wider gaming library from different online stores like Xbox, Steam, Battle.net, Epic Games, and more.
