The Google Pixel 10 series is among the most hyped Android phones of the year. The series is expected to launch by the end of this year, but many rumors and leaks have already given us a hint about these devices. While the lineup is likely to bring upgrades in processing and camera tech, fresh reports suggest that the standard Pixel 10 may once again skip a vapor chamber cooling system. news Also Read: Flipkart Big Festive Dhamaka Sale: Google Pixel 9 Gets Massive Rs 27,750 Price Cut

Google Pixel 10 Leak

According to a report from AndroidHeadlines, Google is set to exclude vapor chamber cooling from the base Pixel 10. This is surprising, as both the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL were equipped with this feature last year.  news Also Read: Pixel 10 Series Struggles With Genshin Impact? What Google Has To Say

Usually, brands test out new components and features in their Pro models and then bring them to the standard variants the following year. With the Pixel 10 reportedly skipping vapor chamber cooling, the phone may struggle with thermal efficiency and could throttle during heavy tasks like gaming, 4K recording, or intensive multitasking. news Also Read: Google Pixel 10 Pro XL REVIEW : Brilliant Where It Matters, Flawed Where It Shouldn't Be

Unfortunately, this isn’t the only reported compromise for the base model. A previous leak had already suggested a downgrade in the primary camera sensor. The Pixel 10 might feature a smaller sensor size compared to the one on the Pixel 9. This could be a major downgrade, especially considering that the Pixel series is known for its photography.

Additionally, the Pixel 10 series is also rumoured to miss out on features like advanced ultra-stable video recording, which will reportedly remain exclusive to the Pro variants. This points toward a clear divide in features between the base and Pro models, much like Apple and Samsung’s approach to tiered flagship lineups.

With throttling issues faced by the Tensor chips in previous generations, missing vapor chamber cooling could lead to underwhelming performance for the Pixel 10. Hopefully, Google is able to manage the thermals and deliver the flagship-level performance that everyone expects from the Pixel series.
