Xiaomi launched its flagship smartphones – including the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max – in China last month. According to a tipster, the Chinese company is expected to bring the standard Xiaomi 17 to the Indian market soon. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered device is said to be accompanied by the Xiaomi 17 Ultra when it launches in the country. In a post on X, tipster Yogesh Brar claimed that the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra are being tested for the Indian market and may hit the shores by March 2026. To recall, the Xiaomi 17 series was launched in the home country in September this year.
According to leaks, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will sport a 6.9-inch 2K OLED flat screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. In terms of optics, the device may feature a 50MP f/1.6 main sensor with LOFIC technology for reduced glare and better clarity. It is expected to be accompanied by a 50MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide-angle shooter, a 50MP JN5 telephoto lens, and a 200MP Samsung HPE periscope telephoto camera with 4×4 RMSC technology for improved zoom quality. On the front, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra may feature a 50MP OmniVision OV50M camera for selfies.
The upcoming flagship is said to support 100W wired fast charging. Xiaomi has confirmed that the HyperOS 3, based on Android 16, will soon roll out to devices in India. It may release alongside the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra in the country.
