Xiaomi’s next flagship – the Xiaomi 16 – is expected to launch by the end of this month. The upcoming device has been a subject of several leaks over the past few weeks. A reliable tipster has now shared the key specifications of the Xiaomi 16, which is expected to succeed last year’s Xiaomi 15.

Xiaomi 16 Specifications, Features (Expected)
Tipster Yogesh Brar has leaked the key specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi 16 on X (formerly Twitter). According to the leakster, the Xiaomi’s next flagship will feature a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED screen with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Internally, the Xiaomi 16 is said to run either on the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 or the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. On the rear, the Xiaomi’s next flagship could feature a triple camera setup headlined by a 50MP OmniVision sensor. It is expected to be accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide shooter and a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5 telephoto lens. The front of the device is expected to house a 32MP selfie camera.
The Xiaomi 16 could be equipped with a 7,000mAh battery that supports 100W fast wire and 50W wireless charging. According to the tipster, the device will feature an IP68 or IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. It will likely boot HyperOS 3 out of the box.
Xiaomi 16 Series Launch Timeline (Expected)
According to recent reports, Xiaomi is expected to launch the Xiaomi 16 series in China between September 24 and September 26. To recall, the Xiaomi 15 debuted in October 2024.
