Vivo has officially launched the Vivo V40 series in India. The V40 series is a camera-centric series comprising two models, the Vivo V40 and Vivo V30 Pro. Both models come with an updated design over their predecessors and have OIS and Aura to assist with videos and photos. Let’s look at the price, offers, and specs of the phones.

Vivo V40 series price in India, offers, and availability

The Vivo V40 is priced at Rs 34,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB variant, Rs 36,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB variant, and Rs 41,999 for the 12GB RAM + 512GB variant. It comes in Lotus Purple, Ganges Blue, and Titanium Grey colours.

The Vivo V40 Pro, on the other hand, starts at Rs 49,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB variant and Rs 55,999 for the 12GB RAM + 512GB variant. It has Ganges Blue and Titanium Grey shades.

Here are the offline offers for the phone. Buyers can get 10 percent instant cashback + 6 months free accidental/liquid damage protection or 12 months of zero down payment EMI option. The series is now available for pre-booking at Vivo Exclusive Store, Vijay Sales, Croma, Jio, and other mainline stores.

The first sale of the Vivo V40 Pro is scheduled for August 13. The Vivo V40 will be available from August 19. In the online market, buyers can purchase it on Flipkart and get a flat 10 percent instant discount on HDFC and SBI bank cards or a flat 10 percent exchange bonus.

The Vivo V40 Pro and V40 look similar and share some specs. The series has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2800 x 1260 pixels. The panel has 4,500 nits of peak brightness, HDR10+ support, and 1 billion colours. There’s a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor placed in the punch-hole for selfies.

The V40 Pro has a triple rear camera system with a 50MP Sony IMX921 main lens, a 50MP Sony IMX816 telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide lens. The V40 has a dual-rear camera system with a 50MP main lens and a 50MP ultrawide lens. Both phones have OIS for the main camera. There’s also Vivo’s Aura light for Portrait images.

Under the hood, the V40 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset, whereas, the V40 gets a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. Both pack a 5,000mAh battery with 80W FlashCharge support. The duo boots on Android 14 OS and has FuntouchOS 14 on top.
