Tecno POP 7 Pro set to launch on February 16 in India

Transsion’s Tecno is all set to launch a new entry-level smartphone in the Indian market. The Tecno POP 7 Pro now has a release date, and upon launch, it will compete against devices like the Moto E13, Poco C50, and others.

Tecno on Twitter confirmed the release date of its upcoming Tecno POP 7 Pro smartphone in India. The smartphone is confirmed to launch on February 16 in the country.

The smartphone is expected to be priced aggressively to compete with entry-level phones like the Moto E13, Realme C30s, Poco C50, Samsung Galaxy F04, and others.

Tecno POP 7 Pro specifications and features

The Tecno POP 7 Pro was launched earlier this year in African markets. The device is nothing but a rebadged model of Tecno Spark Go 2023. Although, it does have slight changes in the flashlight placement.

In India, the device may launch with the same specs sheet as the global model. The Tecno POP 7 Pro is in the global market and sports a 6.56-inch water-drop notch display with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels. It is an IPS LCD panel without any high refresh rate support.

It has a 13MP dual camera on the rear and a 5MP single camera on the front. The rear camera is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps. There are several modes in the phone’s camera app.

At the helm, it is powered by MediaTek’s 12nm Helio A22 chipset paired with PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage. There’s a microSD card slot for additional storage.

The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging speed. It boots on Android 12-based HiOS.
