Samsung’s next big software update, One UI 8, is almost here for more devices. According to tipster Tarun Vats, reported by PhoneArena, the Galaxy S24 series will be the first in line, with the beta version expected to roll out on August 13. This means the Galaxy S24 users won’t have to wait much longer to try out the new features, including a redesigned Now Bar, updated battery protection tools, and Dynamic Wallpapers. news Also Read: Samsung One UI 8 Beta Update Brings Android 16 To Galaxy S23, A55, A54, A35: Know What's New

Samsung confirmed earlier this month that the beta programme would expand beyond its newest foldables, but until now, we didn’t have exact dates. What about the other Samsung users?

What About Samsung Galaxy S23 Users?

If you’re using a Galaxy S23, you’ll need a little more patience. The same leak suggests the beta will arrive for this series on September 8. That’s quite close to when Samsung is expected to release the final One UI 8 update, so the testing phase for S23 owners might be short. news Also Read: Samsung One UI 8 Beta Rolls Out For Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold 6, And Flip 6: Full List of Compatible Models, How To Download

Alongside these flagships, other devices such as the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, Galaxy A55 5G, and A35 5G are also expected to join the beta in September.

How To Try The One UI 8 Beta

Once the beta is live, users can sign up through the Samsung Members app, available in 36 countries. It’s worth noting that not all features will be available in every region. While beta programmes are a great way to explore new updates early, they aren’t without risks. You might encounter bugs, glitches, or small performance issues. Backing up your device before installing is highly recommended.

Interestingly, there’s already a sign that Samsung is testing One UI 8 on models it hasn’t officially mentioned yet. A test build for the Galaxy S21 FE was reportedly spotted on Samsung’s servers. If accurate, it means the beta could reach more phones than expected.

For now, Galaxy S24 users are just days away from getting their hands on the update, while Galaxy S23 owners will follow soon after, as per the leaks, making August and September busy months for Samsung’s beta testers.
