Samsung Galaxy M55 5G, M15 5G to launch on April 8 in India

Samsung has confirmed the launch of two new smartphones in India. The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G and Galaxy M15 5G will debut next week and offer an upgraded specs sheet over their predecessors. The former is expected to come with a 120Hz refresh rate display, an OIS-supported main camera, and a Snapdragon chipset. The Galaxy M15 5G will pack a massive 6,000mAh battery and run on Android 14 OS.

Samsung Galaxy M55 5G, M15 5G India launch date, price range

Samsung Galaxy M55 5G and Galaxy M15 5G are scheduled to go official on April 8 at 12 PM in India. The M55 5G will arrive in the midrange segment and is expected to be priced between Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000 range. It will launch in two colours – Light Green and Denim Black. The M15 5G may arrive under the Rs 20,000 segment and have three colour choices, namely, Celestine Blue, Stone Grey, and Blue Topaz.

Both phones should be available for purchase online and offline soon after their release. Amazon has already created a microsite for the phones confirming their availability on the platform.

Samsung Galaxy M55 5G Specifications

Samsung Galaxy M55 5G will feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with an FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate support. The panel will have a high peak brightness of 1000 nits and come with Vision booster technology for better sunlight visibility.

It is confirmed to have a triple rear camera system with a 50MP main lens. It will have OIS support. It will come with camera features like Nightography, Image Clipper, and Object Eraser. Upfront, the phone will have a 50MP selfie camera.

The smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor and pack a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. It will run on Android 14 OS and have One UI 6 on top.

Samsung Galaxy M15 5G Specifications

As for the Samsung Galaxy M15 5G, it will come with a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display having an FHD+ resolution and likely a 90Hz refresh rate. It will have a triple camera setup on the back with a 50MP main lens.

The device will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset and house a mammoth 6,000mAh battery that is claimed to last for 2 days. Expect it to also have some sort of fast charging support. The device will boot on Android 14 OS out of the box and run on One UI 6 like the M55 5G.

Both phones will come with Samsung Knox Security and Samsung Wallet support. Upon launch, the duo will compete with phones from Redmi, Realme, iQOO, Motorola, Infinix, and others.
