Realme C61 launched, boasts water resistance for under Rs 10,000

Realme has introduced a new entry-level phone, C61 in India. While the new Realme phone has modest specifications that will easily appeal to light users, it stands out with its build quality. The company claims the new C61 features what it calls the ‘ArmorShell Protection’, which essentially makes it resistant to drops, bends, and scratches. The smartphone also has an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, and TUV Rheinland High Reliability Certification.

The new C61 has three configurations. The one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage costs Rs 7,699. A higher 4GB/128GB storage version will be available for Rs 8,499, while the one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs Rs 8,999. The smartphone will go on sale starting June 28 through Realme’s website and Flipkart. ICICI Bank, SBI, and HDFC Bank card holders can get a Rs 900 discount on the top storage variant, bringing the price down to Rs 8,099. The Realme C61 will also be available offline, but you can buy only the 4GB RAM version.

Realme C61 specifications

Featuring support for only up to 4G networks, the Realme C61 has dual SIM card slots. The smartphone rocks an octa-core Unisoc T612 processor, paired with up to 6GB of RAM. The smartphone supports AI Boost Engine and up to 8GB of dynamic RAM. The company has not mentioned the display specifications, but you can expect the screen to have HD+ resolution. The Realme C61 has a 32MP camera on the back alongside other sensors. The Realme C61 uses a 5000mAh battery that the company claims can last about 2 days on a single charge. The smartphone is 7.84mm thick and weighs 187g. It will be available in Safari Green and Marble Black colours.
