
OPPO has launched the new A5x 5G in India. This is a new budget phone for those looking for a good deal and not willing to compromise on durability or battery life. The phone comes as the successor to the A3x 5G and brings some big upgrades like a military-grade build and a massive 6,000mAh battery.

The OPPO A5x 5G features a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display also offers 1,000 nits of peak brightness, making it easier to view content outdoors. The phone is pretty sleek as well, measuring just 7.99mm in thickness and weighing 193 grams. It also boasts an IP65 rating, making it water and dust resistant. For added durability, it is MIL-STD-810H military-grade certified. OPPO has added a 360° Armour Body design with reinforced glass. The phone is available in two stylish colours: Midnight Blue and Laser White.
The OPPO A5x 5G runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. It has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. There is also an option for 4GB of virtual RAM expansion and microSD card support up to 1TB. It ships with Android 15 based ColorOS 15 out of the box, offering the latest software features and security enhancements.
The main highlight of this budget phone is the massive 6,000mAh battery. It also supports 45W SuperVOOC fast charging, offering a great battery life experience to the users. OPPO claims the phone can charge from 0 to 30% in just 21 minutes and reach 100% in under 1.5 hours.
In the camera department, the A5x 5G includes a 32 MP rear camera with an f/1.85 aperture and LED flash. On the front, it sports a 5MP selfie camera, ideal for video calls and casual snaps.
The OPPO A5x 5G is priced at Rs. 13,999 for the single 4GB+128GB variant. It goes on sale starting May 25th via Amazon, Flipkart, OPPO’s official store, and offline retail outlets across India.
