OnePlus is all set to launch its new Nord series smartphones in India – the OnePlus Nord 5 and the OnePlus Nord CE 5 during the Summer Launch event on July 8 at 2 PM IST. Ahead of the launch, OnePlus has confirmed that both phones will be available on the OnePlus website and Amazon India shortly after the launch. Several leaks have shed light on the expected specifications and price of the upcoming phone. OnePlus Nord 5: What We Know So Far

While OnePlus hasn’t revealed all the details yet, several leaks have given us a pretty good idea of what to expect from the Nord 5. The phone is confirmed to run on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset — a solid processor that marks the first time a Nord device will use a Snapdragon 8-series chip.

Battery life might be a major highlight here. Rumours suggest the Nord 5 could pack a huge 7,000mAh battery, which is uncommon in this segment. To back that up, the phone may support 100W fast charging — fast enough to quickly top up the large battery.

On the display side, we’re expecting a flat OLED panel with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The size may stay close to 6.74 inches, similar to the Nord 4. Design leaks hint at a cleaner, simpler look this time, with colour options like pale blue and off-white, and a vertical camera layout on the back. Materials might include a glass back and a plastic frame.

Camera-wise, the Nord 5 is likely to offer a 50MP rear sensor (LYT-700) and a 50MP front camera with autofocus, both capable of shooting 4K video at 60fps.

OnePlus Nord CE 5: What to Expect

The Nord CE 5 is expected to be a more affordable option. It may come with a 6.7-inch OLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, and be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chip. You can expect 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 7,100mAh battery with 80W fast charging.

For cameras, the phone could feature a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 16MP front camera — decent specs for its expected price range.

While official prices will be revealed at the event, leaks suggest the OnePlus Nord 5 could be priced between Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000. The Nord CE 5 might land closer to Rs 25,000, making it a solid mid-range option.
