OnePlus is rumoured to be working on its next flagship – the OnePlus 15 – and ahead of the launch, a new leak has tipped the design shift for the upcoming phone. Unlike the OnePlus 13, the next phone could be featuring a freshly designed camera module. Previous leaks have also suggested the key specifications and features of the OnePlus 15. A new leak by Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station claims that OnePlus is moving away from the circular camera island. The OnePlus 15 is said to sport a small square module, positioned at the top-left corner on the back. This seems like a fresh move for OnePlus, which used a circular camera layout for its recent flagships, including the OnePlus 13. The OnePlus 15 is also tipped to feature rounded corners, which we have seen on other recent flagships like the iPhone 16 series and the Google Pixel 9 lineup, for a comfortable grip and premium feel.
The upcoming flagship, OnePlus 15, is also tipped to feature a 1.5K flat OLED panel with narrower bezels, thanks to LIPO (Low Injection Pressure Over-molding) display packaging technology. The phone could also feature an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor and an IP68 or IP69 rated build.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 15 is expected to pack Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset with a custom Oryon CPU and an Adreno 840 GPU with 16MB dedicated cache. The device is said to be backed by a battery with over 7,000mAh capacity and support for 100W fast wired charging.
The OnePlus 15 is said to feature a triple camera setup, headlined by a 50MP primary sensor. It could be accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens.
The OnePlus 15 is expected to debut in October this year alongside the OnePlus Ace 6 in China.
