Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 8 update for its old smartphone Galaxy S23, featuring new features and improvements to users worldwide. The update is rolling out in South Korea, however, users from multiple regions, including Europe, Asia, Africa, have also started receiving the latest software on their devices.
The new One UI 8 is based on the Android 16. It will be available for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. The update not just enhances the user interface, but also improves the overall system stability. In addition, it also introduces several refinements in the Galaxy S23 series to make the overall experience smoother.
The firmware version of the One UI 8 update release is S91xBXXU8EYI5. Users can download the update with a size of approximately 3.3GB for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The Galaxy S23 and S23+ may have slightly smaller update sizes.
Other than updates, the recent update also brings the September 2025 security patch. It brings better protection against vulnerabilities and keeps the device secure from the latest threats. Samsung users are encouraged to update their phones as soon as the rollout reaches their region. This will benefit them in enhancing the security and optimizing the performance.
To check if the update is available on your Galaxy S23 series device:
STEP 1: The first step is to navigate to Settings.
STEP 2: The go to Software update.
STEP 3: Now, Download and install.
STEP 4: If the update appears, allow it to download, then tap Install now once the download is complete.
STEP 5: The device will automatically restart, and the new One UI 8 interface will be ready to use within a few minutes.
Samsung is also expected to release the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S23 FE globally soon. The phone has already received the update in South Korea, so users in other regions should keep an eye out for the rollout in the coming days.
