The iPhone 17 series is just a few months away from launching globally. As per the past trends, Apple is expected to release the iPhone 17 series in September 2025. Ahead of the launch, several leaks and rumours are hinting towards prominent upgrades over the iPhone 16. A latest leak posted on Chinese social media platform Weibo suggests that the top-notch iPhone 17 Pro Max is tipped to pack the largest battery of any Pro Max model this year.

iPhone 17 Pro Max Battery
For quick comparison, know that the iPhone 16 Pro Max packs a 4,676mAh battery while its predecessor iPhone 15 Pro Max, is powered by a 4,422mAh battery. If the leak comes true, the iPhone 17 Pro Max battery will be a big deal for iPhone users, as the competitors at this price are providing much more battery capacity than the 5,000mAh. While Apple may seem late to the party, but the reason could be the more powerful chipset and AI usage, which is expected to need more energy.
iPhone 17 Pro Max: Expected Specifications and Features
Apart from the big battery boost, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to go through a major design change. The renders suggest that the iPhone 17 Pro Max may have a redesigned rectangular camera module while keeping the camera placement the same as the predecessor. Moreover, the camera department is expected to remain the same as the iPhone 16 Pro Max with a triple camera system of 48MP each at the rear. It is the selfies which may witness a big boost of a 24MP front camera instead of the 12MP front camera of the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
