Tech giant Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus smartphones will reportedly feature a new camera bump. There are a number of possible reasons for this, reports GSMArena. But the most highlighted one is that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus — both non-Pro models in the next iPhone series — are likely to come with 48-megapixel main sensors. That might result in a different camera bump on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus back. Also Read: iPhone 13 vs iPhone 14 vs iPhone 15: Best Deal To Grab This Diwali Under Rs 50000
Another reason, per ShrimpApplePro’s tweet, might be the expected change in design which is to feature a rounded back. The Apple iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to come with the same display sizes as the current iPhone 14 models. That means the iPhone 15 will feature a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 15 Plus will sport a 6.7-inch display. Earlier reports also suggested that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus would feature the Dynamic Island that was introduced last year on the Pro models. There may also be a new USB-C port on the entire iPhone 15 series, according to rumours. It was also previously reported that the tech giant is considering an iPhone 15 price cut which will apply to the base model as well as the Plus model.
It was also rumoured that the iPhone 15 smartphone will feature a ‘state of the art’ image sensor from Sony, for better low-light performance. Moreover, the iPhone 15 is likely to feature a titanium chassis with curved rear edges, which will replace the existing squared-off design.
Apple is expected to launch the next iPhone series sometime in September later this year, and until then, there will be a horde of rumours either corroborating what the aforementioned tipster said or entirely refuting it.
