HMD Global is all set to add another smartphone, HMD Hyper, to its portfolio. New leaks and rumors around the device suggest that the upcoming device will have a design similar to the Nokia Lumia 920. We can see that the smartphone will have a punch-hole front sensor and a rectangular camera island at the rear panel. Apart from that, the leaked images show that the phone will be available in yellow color. There are chances that we will get to see more color variants at the time of launch. The HMD Hyper will come with an OLED display coupled with a 120Hz refresh rate. Speculations are that the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor bundled with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. It is also being said that the device will include a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
In terms of camera, we can get to see a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary shooter with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 13MP secondary shooter, and an 8MP tertiary shooter. The device will sport a 50MP front sensor for the sake of selfies and video calls.
It will be backed by a 4,700mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The details regarding pricing and availability of HMD Hyper are still under wraps. Nonetheless, expectations are that we will get to know more about the device as soon as the launch inches closer.
After having a look at the expected specs, we can say the HMD Hyper is going to have a face-off against Honor X9B which ships with the same process. Moreover both the devices also have identical display and refresh rates. But when it comes to the camera, Honor X9B has an upper hand over HMD Hyper with a triple rear camera setup including a 108MP primary sensor.
