
HMD launched its first smartphones without the Nokia branding in India last month. The HMD Crest and HMD Crest Max are budget smartphones with repairable designs. Both models are powered by a 5G Unisoc chipset and run on the latest Android operating system. The major distinction between the two is the camera, with the vanilla model having a dual camera system, whereas, the Max boasts a triple camera setup. Starting today, you can buy the Crest phones on Amazon. Let’s see the phones’ prices, offers, and full specs.
The HMD Crest is priced at Rs 14,499 for the lone 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and Rs 16,499 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. However, with offers, buyers can get the phones for Rs 12,999 and Rs 14,999, respectively.
The Crest comes in three colours – Midnight Blue, Royal Pink, and Lush Lilac. The Crest Max has Deep Purple, Royal Pink, and Aqua Green shades.
HMD Crest duo has a glass-back design. Both models feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate support. The punch-hole panel has a 20:9 aspect ratio. The Crest duo has a 50MP front camera for clicking selfies.
On the rear, there’s a dual-rear camera system on the Crest that starts with a 50MP AI main lens and a 2MP macro lens. The Max model has a triple-rear camera setup with a 64MP main lens, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro unit. That’s the only major difference between the two.
Another difference is the RAM and storage. Both are powered by a Unisoc T760 5G chipset and the Crest has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, whereas, the Crest Max has 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The duo packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It boots on Android 14 OS.
Coming to the connectivity aspect, the series has 5G support, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS support. There’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security.
