Asus is most probably developing the ROG Phone 9 lineup’s FE edition. The company is all set to make a new edition that will have watered-down specifications as compared to the Asus ROG Phone 9 variant. High chances are that the device will be a revamped and a little upgraded version of the ROG Phone 8 which was launched last year.
A report published by 91Mobiles suggested that the Asus ROG Phone 9 FE appeared on the Malaysian SIRIM certification website along with the NBTC certification database of Thailand. The model number carried by the device is ASUS_AI2401_N and the moniker Asus ROG Phone 9 FE is next to the same.
The model number of the device looks pretty similar to that of the Asus ROG Phone 8 which could be a major reason why it is identical to the previous generation Asus device. Expectations are that we will get to see a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor on the device paired with high-capacity RAM and an ample amount of storage. Moving forward, let’s have a look at the specs and features of the ROG Phone 8.
Asus ROG Phone 8 comes with a 6.78-unch FHD+ Samsung AMOLED LTPO display along with a 165Hz refresh rate. The device also brings 2500 nits of peak brightness. It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor along with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM along with 256GB USF 4.0 internal storage.
The handset features a triple rear camera setup including a 50MP Sony IMC890 primary shooter, a 13MP ultra wide-angle shooter, and a 32MP shooter with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The smartphone is powered by a 5500mAh battery along with 65W fast charging support. For the sake of selfies and video calls, the handset also brings a 32MP front snapper.
